Caring for your jewellery
How to care for your jewellery
Our jewellery is made from high quality brass, in order to prevent tarnishing and maintain your jewellery’s shine it needs proper care. If not stored correctly, brass can tarnish and become dull over time. By following these simple steps you can extend the life of your jewellery for years to come.
1. Clean after use
Before putting your jewellery away, always clean it gently
to remove oils, sweat, or dirt:
- Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after each use.
- For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap and water solution, then dry thoroughly.
2. Store in a cool, dry place
Humidity speeds up tarnishing. Avoid storing brass jewellery in damp or humid environments like bathrooms.
- Keep it in a dry drawer, cabinet, or jewellery box away from sunlight and moisture.
- Store pieces in airtight containers to avoid oxidation.
3. Keep It Separate
Brass is a relatively soft metal and can scratch easily.
- Avoid storing brass with other jewellery pieces, especially harder metals or stones.
4. Avoid Exposure to Chemicals
Perfumes, lotions, and cleaning agents can damage brass.
- Let cosmetics and sprays dry completely before putting on your jewellery.
- Always remove jewellery before swimming or bathing.
By following these easy-care tips, you can keep your jewellery looking beautiful for years to come.
